i wish i were in copenhagen

I so badly wish I were at Copenhagen's fashion week. There are so many fabulous, modern, and fresh designers showing unique collections that truly reflect the current darkness of these terrible economic times.

Some of my top picks:

Vilsbol de Arce

Prisca Vilsbol and Pia de Arce created Vilsbol de Arce in 2002 when they were students at Copenhagen Fashion & Design School (sound familiar, Proenza Schouler?). Their collection is very futuristic. Combine black and sculpted and I'm in love.

Stine Goya

Stine Goya is a Central St. Martin's graduate who bases her collections on emotions and then translates them into textiles. The metallic blacks and reds, harem pants, and shiny fabrics will make you look rich, even if you're feeling quite poor.

Designers Remix Collection

Designer and Creative Director Charlotte Eskildsen describes Designers Remix Collection as "sexy, edgy, and slightly askew." The whole show had an equestrian meets bondage theme. Fun!
